Congratulations to the 2003 New England Champions from Saugus Saugus American Little League All-Stars had a terrific run in the tournament with an exciting week in Williamsport including an extra inning 14-13 victory vs. Texas to advance to US Final against Florida.
2003 Baseball State Finals Tournaments completed Congratulations to Saugus American, Mansfield & Hanson on capturing the State title with wins in the Major, Junior & Senior divisions respectively.
2003 Softball Tournaments concluded in Winchendon with State finals Congratulations to Gardner, Jesse Burkett (Worcester) & Malden East capturing the State title with wins in the Major, Junior & Senior divisions respectively. See Tournaments section at left for brackets and results.
John Caron selected as World Series Umpire John Caron from Winchendon carried his 23 years of umpiring to the 2002 World Series.
2002 New England Champions from Worcester Jesse Burkett Little League All-Stars advanced to US Final, the furthest point where any Massachusetts team has previously advanced to.

Baseball divisions 2005 State tournaments wrapped up... Gloucester defaeats Methuen East for State Senior title. Seekonk edged out Auburn for the Junior baseball title. Dudley defeats Danvers American in the Major State final. Barnstable National defeated Everett for the State 11 year old title.
Softball divisions complete 2005 State Finals in Worcester... Jesse Burkett Little League of Worcester hosted the 2005 State Finals for the Major, Junior & Senior levels. Each of the three levels were decided in 2 games each. Swampscott defeated Westfield for the State Major title. Jesse Burkett defeated Westfield for the Junior title. Westfield Seniors defeated Wakefield to capture their State title.

League Administration Clinic - April 3, 2005 League Administartion clinic coming to Massachusetts. The Clinic will be held on Sunday, April 3rd at Boston College. All League Officers and Board board members are encouraged to attend and hear the hometown presentation first hand. With nearly 7,000 leagues nationwide, it would be impossible for Little League’s professional staff members to conduct league administration, umpire and coaches clinics for each. Nonetheless, our top staff members and volunteers have teamed up to bring truckloads of tips to your backyard. Consider it a live version of the publication "A Year In the Life of Hometown Little League!" 2004 Softball Tournaments concluded in Winchendon with State finals Congratulations to Jesse Burkett (Worcester) on capturing the State title with wins in the Major & Junior divisions and to Westfield for winning the Senior State title. See Tournaments section at left for brackets and results.

Mansfield Little League becomes first Massachusetts team to advance to the Junior League World Series After winning the Massachusetts state championship, Mansfield went 5-0 in the rain-filled, 11-team Eastern Regional Tournament played in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Team Massachusetts defeated Cranston, Rhode Island, 9-0, for the regional title. Along the way, Mansfield defeated state champions from Connecticut, New York, Maine and Rhode Island (twice). Massachusetts went to Taylor, Michigan undefeated with a 13-0 overall record. History: No team from Massachusetts has ever played in the Junior League World Series. Massachusetts became the 26th state to be represented in the series. For the record: Two Eastern champions have won the Junior League World Series. Waldorf, Maryland, went undefeated in 1985. and Salem, New Hampshire, went undefeated in 1997.

What is the Little League Challenger Program?
The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and developmental challenges.

Who can participate in the Little League Challenger Program?
Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
